On August 7th, 2023, fans were treated to a jaw-dropping clash as FC Dallas squared off against Inter Miami CF in the League Cup Playoffs (CONCACAF).

B. Kamungo delivered a decisive blow on the stroke of halftime, propelling FC Dallas into the lead with a goal that sent their fans into raptures. 

The scoreline now read 2-1 in favor of FC Dallas.


FC Dallas carried their momentum into the second half, extending their lead with a goal from A. Velasco. 


The stadium buzzed with excitement as FC Dallas secured a 3-1 advantage, showcasing their attacking prowess and determination to advance.


Inter Miami CF wasn't ready to bow out just yet. 


A determined B. Cremaschi found the back of the net, narrowing the deficit to 3-2. 


The relentless back-and-forth continued as R. Taylor, an Inter Miami player, inadvertently scored an own goal, gifting FC Dallas a 4-2 lead.


Luckily for him, an own goal from FC Dallas player, M. Farfan made the score line 4-3. 


With the score at 4-3, Inter Miami CF needed a spark of brilliance to mount a comeback. 


In the 85th minute, that moment arrived when Messi, known for his magical moments, showcased his incredible free-kick prowess. 

The stadium erupted as Messi's strike found the net, leveling the score at 4-4 and sending the match into extra time.
